This site has nearly 5,000 photographs of over 580 locomotives and other equipment in 93 locations across 28 states in the US. There is also a page with railroad-related books and manuals, and a page with links.

Each "postcard" on this page links to an album. Scroll right to see more "postcards". Click on a "postcard" to go to an album. Click on a thumbnail in an album to see the full size picture. There are related links as well as suggested books and/or DVDs on each page.

The website is optimised for IE6 or higher and a fast broadband connection. It is not designed for mobile devices. Full size pictures are 300dpi and can be large: panorama and backhead views may be 1-2MB. 360° flash panoramas may be 3-5MB.
